What It Is

LinkElm is a lightweight project hub and branch-routing platform built around the idea that every project deserves a place to begin. Each idea can receive its own memorable LinkElm address, such as project.linkelm.com, which can redirect to an existing page, point to a Workbench entry, or grow into a small hosted site without forcing the project to abandon its early links, bookmarks, or QR codes.

The first version serves as a home and routing layer for my own projects, with private admin tools for creating redirect branches, setting up hosted branch folders, and guiding new branches through DNS setup. Public registration is not open yet, but the foundation is being shaped with launch-list interest, contact support, and a calmer setup flow for future users.

Over time, LinkElm may grow into a public service where people can claim free random branch addresses, reserve custom renewable subdomains, manage redirects, and possibly host small project pages. For now, it is intentionally small: a sturdy root system for ideas that need somewhere simple, memorable, and flexible to start.

Why It Exists

LinkElm removes a barrier by giving every experimental idea an immediate and memorable home without having to set up complete branding until a project fully matures.

Projects can begin small, grow at their own pace, and move to dedicated hosting when they become more mature. Their original LinkElm subdomain address can remain active as a permanent redirect, allowing links and QR codes to continue working.

Like an elm tree, the ecosystem can keep growing new branches. Some ideas may flourish, some may branch out on their own, and others may be pruned to make room for something new.
